Transfer rumours are out there all the time and looking at the players linked you start to wonder why Leicester City are looking outside their own garden, when you have solid talents in there and hopefully they will flourish soon.
Two players that TCF have watched closely over the years are Josh Knight and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who both have had good loan spells at Peterborough United and Blackpool this season. The two are also Leicestershire lads and grown up with the club.
Knight (22) and Dewsbury-Hall (21) are showing skills that should be carefully looked at and of course Brendan Rodgers knows what he got, but he also needs to address a clear and concrete vision about the two players future.
Dewsbury-Hall made his first team debut v. Brentford in the FA Cup coming in as a sub, but just hours after was loaned out to Blackpool and his spell there has been brilliant. He has shown his skills in the U.23’s and so has Knight in the past being among the best players over a period of time.
Josh Knight can operate in defense and midfield and Dewsbury-Hall in midfield, so please Brendan keep faith in local lads instead of splashing out millions on a couple of players that will struggle to get into the first team at Leicester City.
Peterborough are a club with ambition and currently in a League One play off position, wanting Josh Knight on a permanent basis but their bids have been turned down by Leicester City, which is good news and hopefully makes Knight a player they are eager to keep and nurse forward to become a first teamer in the future.
We see the names of players linked and just believe that none of them really is in any form or shape that can take a place in the first team, then to get Knight and Dewsbury-Hall in to contribute from the bench and getting a great lift in their careers would probably be a better idea.
Rodgers should carefully look at his squad and what he’s got and not start a big rotation policy with new players that will come to Leicester City to play first team football and not be given an understudy job, that is a deadly strategy that we have seen before, but we hope that Rodgers is knowing in depth what he got and what is available.
