Leicester in big chase for new additions, going all in to sign before deadline!

Despite having a bit of backup for injuries and being able to place two clear first team players on the bench in Ricardo Pereira and Caglar Soyuncu there are no doubt that a new face or two would be good as additions, considering Jamie Vardy and Wilfred Ndidi also out of action for the time being.

Injuries on those two, also Dennis Praet sidelined and a worry about Timothy Castagne would see a move for one maybe two new additions as a wise plan. It’s a difficult time for Brendan Rodgers and you can see that he makes errors in his match management as systems and players are changed, often and almost certain to give the opponent a clear advantage.

A lot of names have been thrown into the hat and the latest to be seen as a trustworthy rumour is the one about Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles. Not seen much in the headlines early on, but the 23 year old is a player that could fit the bill of what Brendan Rodgers is looking for.

Earlier on players from the continent was more in the news, but going into the late hours of the deadline, it might be less problematic to make deals inside the English market, and we all know the quality of the Arsenal and England international.

So what is the reason behind this rumour and how likely is it that Leicester City will go for Maitland-Niles. The team working on transfers and loan moves are of course trying to find the sort which is needed in the best way, but it’s a difficult race.

Another name that pops up a lot at this very moment is Watford midfielder Nathanial Chalobah. A player that has had a career upset with a number of injuries, but on his best days a clever and one to really look at as a potential signing.

The name Noel Cantwell has also turned up latetely but a move looks more likely in the summer, though having a player to be available who can close a few gaps either in midfield or up alongside those top forwards, wouldn’t be a bad idea.
