TCF follows up on a lot of different Leicester City related topics and updates, and interesting to look at all those former foxes who are out there in the footballing atmosphere.

The 26 capped England U.21 international did get a good start, playing four games in February and from then playing ten games in total. Scoring once, and mostly used out left. Bayer Leverkusen ended in 6th place and it will be exciting to see how Demarai Gray will continue as he will be watched from many clubs.
Nigel Pearson brought back a footballing life to Danny Simpson and offered him a contract at Bristol City, and despite losing and not being involved in any promotion push, Simpson did get back in action. The right back played on four occasions in Championship action. Nigel Pearson had to see his team losing four of their five last games of the season and hopefully he can get things back on track. Simpson was involved in three defeats and one draw, the one point coming in a home game v. Nottingham Forest.

The 25 year old attacking flank alternative made a move away from Leicester City to join Rangers a few years back and had a soft spell at Bolton Wanderers, before moving abroad and now back to England with The Latics. He has been in demand and just been offered a new and improved deal.
Tom Hopper presently managed by Michael Appleton at Lincoln City almost got it all correctly, but it was stopped at the last hurdle, missing the promotion with a defeat to Blackpool. As earlier stories have been told about Christian Fuchs and his Leicester City departure for a new life in US with Charlotte FC, we just bring it to table again to confirm the move.

Danny Drinkwater also contracted to Chelsea, made a move abroad this season and played in Turkey with Kasimpasa playing eleven games ending in 14th in the table and looks as if he contributed well in those outings. Thomas Tuchel has made it clear that Danny don’t feature in the plans of his Chelsea project and it could be a new loan move out or a permanent deal somewhere else. Still only 31 and hopefully a new number of years left as he seek more first team football.
Harry Maguire is involved in the Euro’s, but have to wait before he enters the field for England, struggling with an injury that has kept him out of the game for a while, he also missed the Europa League final and that might be a key reason for him losing that battle against another former fox, Vicente Iborra, who also had to see the game from the terraces, but since he had been involved previously getting a winners medal with Villareal.
Embed from Getty ImagesRiyad Mahrez picked up another Premier League winners medal with Man City, but had to settle with runners-up in the Champions League, also, not to forget, also a winner of the EFL Cup, so big congratulations to our former wide man.
Callum Elder only missed one game this season for Hull City. A great campaign with a League One winners medal must be great for the former fox. Must be good to be back at Championship level again and hopefully getting the attention from the Australia full team as he still waits on his debut at the level.
Kevin Ellison is still going strong, but had to see his former club Morecambe grab the promotion position in front of his Newport County, but still a great campaign and it might be a chance for another push for promotion next season, with Ellison still hungry at the age of 42.
Embed from Getty ImagesJonny Hayes made a move back to Aberdeen in front of this season, playing 34 SPL games and scoring twice, ending fourth in the table and contributing well, though being banned from breaking Scottish FA covid 19 rules and getting a three game suspension.
Embed from Getty ImagesAdrien Silva completed 24 Serie A games at Sampdoria this season and landed comfortably mid table as he now will try to add more appearances to that tally going into the next season on a rolling contract until the end of next season.
Another player that moved abroad after a difficult period as a fox is Islam Slimani. He joined Lyon and played 18 league appearances since his arrival at the French club in January. His first of three goals came in a game v. Paris, coming on as a sub. Slimani had opened his full goal scoring record book before with a goal in the cup v. Ajacco a few weeks earlier.
We have now structured and updated our Where are they now section, with our former foxes and their whereabouts. Players no longer appear if they are in the lower tiers, below League 2 level.
