The 5000/1 aniversery game went a head as planned. Lovely to see all those players back in action at King Power. Khun Top was at the event and celebrating with the heroes 10 years ago.
Watching on as the game were played out in a lower tempo than expected, with a heat and temperature above normal. Leicester had players in the squad, still in the game, showing their qualites, as they influenced the play and pace.
Liam Moore was lively, Jeffrey Schlupp and Daniel Amartey also showing their still far from retired. Ben Hamer, in action against Leicester for QPR last season, he made some quality saves first half. Moore, Hamer, Schlupp and Amartey are all free agents, and are looking for opportunites next season.
Danny Drinkwater and Andy King partnered up in midfield, and it was to see Marc Albrighton crawling up and down the wing. He had a quality act as well, making it all fun day out in the sun.
Leo Ulloa and Kevin Nugent a striker partnership up front, both showing they had their mind on a goal, but it never happened.

Kasper Schmeichel, Jamie Vardy and Demarai Gray were all in the stands, coming down for interviews at the break. Claudio Ranieri down there at the subs bench, giving everyone a lift. Yohan Benalouane and Marcin Wasilewski coming on for Robert Huth and Wes Morgan. Sean St. Ledger also coming on for his minutes.
Tony Pulis managed to keep his team on the toes and gave nothing away as he kept a five men defence tight together. We all waited for a goal, but all attempts were saved by their goalkeeper Luke Steel.
To see Conrad Logan appearing in this aniversery game was a 5000/1 experience. He made a clever save on a long shot from Wes Houlihan, and then in the penalty shoot outs, he made some magnificant saves that did see Leicester win it in the end.
He is currently the manager of Ainstay Nomads. This team play at the seventh level in the English League Pyramid. Kevin Nugent also appear for this club, and still putting on a shirt. Conrad Logan has been active up to this day, and his shot stopping was very impressive. Claudio Ranieri had no worries, giving him minutes and letting him suprise everyone in that penalty shoot out. Logan left Leicester in 2015, after being at the club for 10 years, building most of his career on different loan spells. In one of those spells, playing for Hibernian, Logan won the Scottish FA Cup.
To see those penalties being scored by Marc Albrighton, Jeffrey Schlupp and Liam Moore was brilliant, then Christian Fuchs just took it all as cool as a “fox” can do, sending Luke Steele in the wrong direction and just pushing the ball over the line, to see Leicester win.
Many fans made it to the stadium for a great event, and it’s good to see the club succeed. However, the club’s current struggles made it hard for some fans to view it positively. We certainly have no problem understanding this as a major positive and not mix it with those other negative emotions.
10 years on and from today, concentrating on the vital and real world, which is not as happy as everything was back in May 2016.
