The transfer saga regarding Rachid Ghezzal looks close to finalized. Besiktas has been interested in a buy since Ghezzal left last season after a largely huge success on loan, seeing him as the star player in a season which Besiktas won the league.

The fee is said to be as low as €3million, but again better to get something that letting the player go on free when his contract runs out next summer. Ghezzal joined Leicester from Monaco back in 2018. Leicester paid a fee of €14million for the Algerian international.

Ghezzal has since he joined Leicester played 19 league games and scored one single goal, he has during his years at the club been loaned out to Fiorentina also and during the transfer chase for his signature, it was reported that Galatasaray were close to hijacking the deal with a number of Serie A clubs also looking at him, but now is all previous stuff that is of no interest with a move to Besiktas to be confirmed imminent.

Danish goalkeeper Daniel Iversen has completed his loan deal to Preston North End, with a year at Deepdale again negotiated. He had a great loan spell with Lillywhites last season and hopefully can gain vital experence yet again. George Hirst will play next season for Portsmouth after spending last season with Rotherham United.

Layton Ndukwu had a trial at Portsmouth after leaving Leicester this summer, but his two friendly appearances for Pompey never resulted in a contract being written. Takhgalo Leshabela did neither get a deal over the line at Luton, due to financial challenges for The Hatters.
