Strange approach from Brendan Rodgers as Leicester again were Hammered by West Ham Monday FC

Leicester could not build on their last win v. Wolves and was really seen as a minor team away to West Ham. Why Brendan Rodgers just decided to field the exacts same line-up as he did from start against Wolves might be something to address, surely he knew what was coming.

You can of course blame it all on the red card incident with Ayoze Perez but all in all a totally different game to play than Wolves at home. So why not adjust the team to that challenge instead of believing you can win away at London Stadium, with the same formula as a week ago at King Power.

We all know that Brendan Rodgers likes his teams to play out from the back and controll the game, but as we did see against West Ham that approach did not work and probably mirroring West Ham might have been a tactical view to consider.

James Maddison did get into the starting line-up after taken off with a problem against Wolves but we would rather have seen Boubakary Soumare alongside Wilfred Ndidi and playing Youri Tielemans a bit deeper, than usually with Maddison, in front of them could have worked wonders as the line-up would have been stronger defensively.

Then to see Ayoze Perez in the line-up from start gives the team a good offensive wibe, but with a certain Marc Albrighton fresh and ready you would have had much more service from the flank and a more natural passer of the ball and a hard working player in there. Strangely the man that currently signed a new deal has not featured yet in Premier League as two games are played and only been sitting it out on the bench.

Easy to have all answers after the game, but surely with the previous experience of Brendan Rodgers changing his back four to a three and doing swops in the up front department as well, sometimes playing two men in the forward line, you start to wonder what he was thinking before West Ham.

Going down to play West Ham away, the Monday expert, has never been an easy task and deciding to play a team that was set up to dominate and win by having much possession looks a bit strange on the day, and with a better defensive approach it might have been a different ballgame.

The next match will be on the road as well playing Norwich away, but we will just have to wait and see what the system will be, and certain to see one change with Ayoze Perez missing.
