Youri Tielemans is still waiting for his decision which could stress Leicester in a way that makes it impossible to rule out other experienced alternatives as the club are looking to progress.

Christian Eriksen will be a free agent in January. Inter will terminate the contract with the Danish international who all did follow during the Euro’s and he is now training back in Denmark to try to get a return to top flight football. Eriksen was linked with Leicester during the January transfer window in the two last seasons after not really finding his best position at Inter.

Eriksen was a key reason to the success at Spurs a few years back and his influence and football understanding should never be faulted. He will return to the game in some capacity but at this moment few knows were he will be heading.

Rumours are that Manchester United and Newcastle are both in the chase and could see him as a player to turn to as they prepare progress going forward. Eriksen (29) is likely to return as good as ever and will of course be a player that will be seen as a possible target for the two clubs that are likely to spend heavy in the next two windows.

Eriksen left Spurs in 2020 after seven years at White Hart Lane and did pick up a Serie A title with Inter last season alongside Ashley Young and Romelu Lukaku who has also left the Italian champions.

What we did experience in the Euro’s was probably scenes we do believe would stop a football career but if Eriksen is all clear then this would not stop him from a comeback.

With the wait of Youri Tielemans and that of course stressing the club, you would be a fool to count out Christian Eriksen as he would be a perfect player to bring in if Youri is on the way out.
