Martin Ødegaard and Takehiro Tomiyasu were both linked with Leicester in the past and when Arsenal managed to win the battle over a loan move in January a year ago, they also lost out on a possible permanent move negotiated later by Mikel Arteta and the club of his.
In the summer Leicester were a club seen in every rumour about Takehiro Tomiyasu and his supposed and close move to Premier League, Arsenal again came out on top and did make the signing for the Japan international and Bologna star.
Both players are heavily involved in the happenings at Arsenal at the moment and the young team under Arteta’s leadership looks to progress week by week as they all are maturing in play and understanding. The current discipline situation with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also describe the type of progress the club are looking for with their young and adspiring team.
We all know that Leicester were out shopping in the summer going for Daka, Soumare, Vestergaard and Bertrand and also the loan of Ademola Lookman. None of the five has so far been steady first team alternatives and that should be addressed as signings of so many players would surely be to make the first team better.
Leicester do have a logistic problem in the squad with a number of players not really getting the game time needed to progress, but will this list of players see any of them getting into the first team line-up at Leicester for the purpose of getting the team better.
We surely need a clean up process at the club to give space for new recruits and maybe the best message for Brendan Rodgers is the one seeing both James Justin and Wesley Fofana ready for a comeback over in the new year.
There are players linked, but the list is not one that really set the world on fire, but a few of the names are interesting, but where would Leicester have been with the two Arsenal recruits in their squad?
