Brendan Rodgers and Leicester will surely be following the movements of Antonio Conte as he describes his squad as one to improve with certain changes to take place in January.
Not a surprise that Newcastle and Man Utd also are out looking for new players as they are eager to make changes and then probably be willing to let players leave and for Leicester that will be short in numbers with injuries and players absent for AFCON, this will be good news.
There are players eager to make a move somewhere else and get their career kick started and looking at the central defender position which is a struggling position at Leicester at the moment, you will of course be interested in players who clearly looks totally out of the picture at their clubs.
Phil Jones might be one player that would need at least a month to come good, but he is back in training and still the England international would be one to consider. Leicester do have Ademola Lookman in on loan, and then you have one more option as the total of players to loan in each season is two.
Newcastle do have an interesting squad but in some way struggled to get it right at times and looking at the players in there you start to wonder why they are stuck in the bottom of the table. The rythm and need of more power injected in the team could open up for certain loans or even permanent moves being available. Captain of the past Federico Fernandez is said to be out of the first team picture.
The 32 year old Argentinian international who was part of the World Cup final team from 2014 has to date played 32 times for his country and one player that really can be a emergency short term signing for the rest of the season if being available. Fernandez is at present injured, but could be available early January.
Tottenham are also in transition with a number of players under high pressure. Conte has addressed his desire to bring in more bodies as he looks to improve his squad. One player that would be in a picture of a move is Dele Ali and another to be considered in the same sentence is Tanguy Ndombele, but that will surely be players not really easy to bring in.
Leicester does not have too much money to spend in January and not really able to sell anyone as they need every body available, but the club need a new approach regarding injuries as they have hampered the season heavily and looking at each situation you do feel sorry for some as they brutally was just kicked hard and got knocks they didn’t deserve, Pereira vs. Liverpool and Fofane vs. Villareal, not possible to avoid those idiotic tackles from the opponents.
We will see in the next weeks what Brendan Rodgers will be up to but surely we did see a player like Ryan Bennett helping out and doing well at times in a season where Leicester finished 5th, so hopefully a number of good options will be found to be able to get through.
