Lucas Digne is confirmed to be leaving Everton and we all know the situation at Leicester looking to get the best alternative out there to cover the left back position. Luke Thomas has shown great progress but still far from a finished article.

Ryan Bertrand could be leaving for Chelsea as they are looking for a cover for Marcus Alonso and with Ben Chilwell out, Bertrand could be ideal as a possible alternative.

Leicester would be ideal for Digne because of his status and would be first choice in his position on arrival. Moving elsewhere and according to Fabrizio Romano not moving to Newcastle, then we hopefully will get this Janury transfer window under way with a great start.

The three clubs mentioned as chasers are Leicester, Chelsea and Aston Villa. Ryan Bertrand will certainly be leaving if Digne comes in so this could be a bit of slalom before a move will be settled.

A move to Leicester will be the best alternative as the French international would get his career kick started and on the correct road. Leicester will get a good player in and with Luke Thomas as a grand back up.

We believe that this move will go through and that Leicester are the main chaser and ready to pay a fee of £15million to get their man. Digne do have a contract at Everton running to 2025, so to see him leave after making a long term comitment is strange, and shows that life at Goodison Park is a bit difficult at the moment.
