Leicester did miss out on the signings of Lucas Digne and Philippe Coutinho as Aston Villa and Steven Gerrard won those two races of great quality. This could of course have opened up a possible move for Christian Eriksen. The transfer is believed to be short term for the rest of the season and possibly on for a new campaign until the Qatar World Cup. Denmark are through to the finals and Eriksen has his eyes on that tournament.
To make a come back in football at a place like Leicester should be perfect with his fellow Dane mates Jannik Vestergaard and Kasper Schmeichel at the club and to be among good friends and familier faces is probably an important key for this move to happen.
Leicester are likely to be the front runner for Christian Eriksen and his move will be of fantastic interest going into the game vs. Randers and would be perfect timing for such a happening.
After a great career at Ajax and Tottenham life at Inter became a bit of a low down for Christian Eriksen and it was talk about a return to Premier League and Leicester in January last year.
Leicester do also have a battle on their hands with Youri Tielemans not ready to sign his offered long term contract. Christian could fill the gap in a natural way with the two being similar type of footballers.
Other Premier League clubs that has been mentioned to be in the race are West Ham, Tottenham and Newcastle. Eriksen never really made the best links with Antonio Conte and would not see that Spurs move coming. West Ham and Newcastle are linked with most players on the list of joining Leicester.
Christian Eriksen has under his rehab work been with his mother club Odense and on his road back been in good connection with his Danish team mates at Leicester. Talk is talk and connections are connections, and the three are close and been in the international setting for a long time.
Nothing confirmed but to see him back in football at Leicester would be massive and he would set eyes on the club that would be phenomenal. Christian Eriksen would also be with two good friends, Kasper Schmeichel and Jannik Vestergaard.
