Arsenal will try to do what it takes to bring Youri Tielemans to The Emirates. According to recent reports Mikel Arteta knows he must act fast to secure a move for the Belgian international.
No one believe that Tielemans will sign his new and improved contract proposal at Leicester with a move happening this January or in the summer, but with a bid of acceptance, believed to be in the region of £50million, you will see a transfer coming.
Leicester will not be in action again before the January transfer window shot, and we could have seen Tielemans in a Leicester shirt for the last time in the draw vs. Brighton & Hove Albion.
Rumours are that Liverpool and Barcelona are the two other clubs that will try to compete with Arsenal for Tielemans signature, but for both clubs the January window is too early, with Arsenal they could be ok to do business in this window as they made up space with a number of players departed.
We do believe that players who have their mind on a move away and are reluctant to an approach from their current club is not good for the environment. The race for Tielemans is one we have seen since the summer but surprisingly Leicester managed to keep their midfield dynamo.
Arsenal considered James Maddison but has instead set their eyes on a move for Tielemans and Arsenal must act in this January window, if not it looks as if another major club will come in for the Belgian in the summer.
Leicester on the other hand just have to wait and see as they know they have Tielemans until the summer of 2023, and the player must decide what is the correct to do and if Barca or Liverpool will come in to sign him in the summer, Arsenal will most certainly not be of priority.
