This Leicester transfer window just like a silent movie, noticing the best and worst during season signings of the past

Going back in time we have seen some clever business done by Leicester in the January transfer windows of the past with Youri Tielemans being a brilliant move. First in on loan and then a permanent deal was closed in the summer of 2019.

Wilfred Ndidi is also one to cherish. Fantastic signing by Claudio Ranieri. Ironically both managers doing the shrewd signings later in the season got sacked.

Demarai Gray and Daniel Amartey together with Andrej Kramaric are other players moving in during the January transfer windows of the past.

Recent calls of the past to also mention are Ryan Bennett, Fouseni Diabatte and Molla Wague. Last year as so far this season nothing happened and but it was a not as stressful as it is now.

If something will happen before the deadline it will be a surprise as we have no indication it will. Early in the window as many as four signings looked to be possible, but that would also have ment that possibly Youri Tielemans and Hamza Choudhury both would have followed Filip Benkovic out the door and a possible loan move for Nampalys Mendy would have also appearead. There are a few rumours out there still but surely it looks as a sad day tomorrow for those looking for moves to appear.

The problem is that no more players looks to be on the way out and if that does not happen there are no slots left as a squad of 25 would surely include Nampalys Mendy now that Filip Benkovic has left. We could see one or two loan moves happen, but would players in the development group among those.
