Nampalys Mendy and Ryan Bertrand will not be involved in any European Conference adventure leaving both players out of the 24 to play on in Europe.
This is a strange way of dealing with professional footballers as UEFA do not need such a list, Premier League could also allow more players and a full squad to be included as long as they also operate with a b list, and if a club would like to include 30 players they should be allowed to.
Ryan Bertrand is currently injured and Nampalys Mendy again left with James Justin and Wesley Fofana being named on the a-list, makes it another new setback for the Senegal international.
First up is Randers home and away, hopefully a good run will be established and could this be a reason for the club to just have this tournament to look forward to this season, with the Forest FA Cup set back as a difficult one to swollow.
Looking forward is the only way to deal with setbacks and hopefully Leicester will be able to brush of and move forward with Europe still an option.
Conference might be looked at as the little league among the European competitions but you will find teams that are major with last years Europa League opponent Slavia Prague in there. Marseille, PSV Eindhoven, PAOK, Midtjylland, Fenerbahce, Sparta Prague and Celtic are also in there, so not a walk in the park for anyone.
If you manage to go through from these play-off’s other teams such as Roma, FC Copenhagen, Rennes, Basel, Feyenoord, Gent and Lask Linz are the winners of their groups waiting at the next hurdle.
Leicester could defeat all of these teams but to win this tournament you have to be at your best and this will also be a very historical title to win as you will be the first to do so.
We hope for the best with excitement let’s hope it will end on a high.
