Leicester City U21 has started the season with a mixed bag of results. They compete in the Premier League 2, Premier League Cup and National League Cup.
Their season started with a 3-1 win vs. Plymouth in the Natioanl League Cup. Later they have played Man Utd away in Premier League 2, losing 1-4. On the 4th of September they played Bournemouth at home in the Premier League Cup, defeated 0-1.
The U18’s have played three games in three different tournaments. On the 5th of September losing 1-4 at home to Newcastle. Before that they played Bournemouth in the Premier League Cup, 0-1 defeat. Earlier, on the 15th of August, U18 managing a 2-2 draw in the U18 Premier League vs. Middlesbrough.
In the latest U21 set up, that game vs. Bournemouth, Leicester fielded the following team; Marson; Ali (Daniels 65′), Gray, Diallo, Toko; Corden (King 59′), Donnelly, Carr, Lawrence (Anugo 80′), De Lisle; Hutchinson.
Subs not used: Khela, Hibbins, Akolbire, Szembell.
Kavon Gray, Riley Carr and Lorenz Hutchinson are all players who have been involved in and around the first team during pre-season, and hopefully getting valuable game time and competition early on.
Bobby Amartey, Sam Hayman, Michael Golding, Hugo DeLisle. In the cup game vs. Sutton United, ending 0-0, Joshua King was the only one to score for Leicester in the penalty shoot outs. Ryan Donnolly, Kevin Gray and Will Daniels missed their opportunities.

The U18 team has had mixed results, losing 1-4 to Newcastle in the U18 Premier League yesterday. This was their first defeat of the season, having drawn in the Cup games vs. Bournemouth and Middlesbrough.
Leicester fielded this team yesterady, Stretton; Jacklin, Simons, Dignum, Turrell (Govan 80′); Owusu (Machaka 80′), Manyumba, Aideed, Szembell (Colangelo-Allen 64′), Quinn (Holmes 71′); Fletcher.
Subs not used: Lawrence.
James Quinn scored Leicester’s goal yesterday. In the 2-2 game vs. Middlesbrough, James Quinn and Luqman Aideed scored. In the 1-1 game vs. Bournemouth, Jake Fletcher scoring the goal.
