Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers has signalled that he will get a transfer kitty up to or above £200million to be able to push the club forward and back in contention for top four positions.
This will be with the intention to invest in new players and younger players that will be able to play an important part over a long period of time.
In recent years we have seen the club being forced to sell players going forward, but with the group of players at the club at the moment and a bit of a slimming process ongoing that might not be the case in the years going forward.
Leicester will need to pinpoint players that will make the team better instead as we have seen over recent years more or less buying players to fill a squad that was low in depth and had little or no players to call for when injuries striked.
We will see four or five maybe up to six players departing over the summer and a plan for the exit of Jamie Vardy, Kasper Schmeichel and Jonny Evans must also be there, as this trio will not go on forever and their contracts are up after next season.
We all know how Leicester have attracted Belgian talent and made them possible to sign for Leicester with Dennis Praet, Timothy Castagne and Youri Tielemans all being at the club at present time. Charles De Ketelaere could be next and money will be available as we all believe a few sales and of course building up for a new era will all see this happening.
Leicester are also linked with other players at an age that surely do tell a story of where this club is heading as recruits will be signed and nursed forward, for all those recent rumours, enter here.
Leicester will be able to fund a move for De Ketelaere with a few sales as we all believe that a number of players will be on their way out for grand fees.
Youri Tielemans looks to move on and we also expect a player like Ayoze Perez also to be looking at other options with his playing time reduced this season. Dennis Praet and Kelechi Iheanaacho are other players that could be on the sales list and that would of course bring in a lot. Hamza Choudhury could also be a player on the move, and of course there are other selling objects as well.
In any way it will be a very interesting summer coming with a lot of happenings as the club will certainly try to move forward and it will be no shock to see Brendan Rodgers settling in for a long period of time as the he will this summer shape his team into his very own.
