Brendan Rodgers fielded his strongest side, but it was not enough to secure a win at home vs. PSV. The Dutch team had a massive opportunity to score early on from Gotze, but Kasper Schmeichel was on alert and made a fantastic save to keep Leicester in the game.
It all became an even affair, though Leicester had grand opportunities to score both from Kelechi Iheanacho and Harvey Barnes htting the bar.
First half was a tug of war with both teams trying to attack and it was strange in the end that no team scored, really strange.
To have Fofana and Evans available makes this team so much better and it also gives the midfield and forwards more comfort and belief they can attack and go forward.
Kelechi Iheanacho’s chance was massive and Harvey Barnes was lively on several occasions but it would not happen, no goals, but PSV also showed why they are a quarter finalist in Europe.
Brendan Rodgers made a number of changes going in the 2nd half brining on Ademola Lookman and Patson Daka, James Justin also made his entrance.
But it was not to happen and Leicester will go to Eindhoven with no advantage, though having 0-0 makes it easy, you need to win away, which could be possible.
We believe Leicester is the better side and with PSV attacking even more at home, it could open up space and give Barnes and Iheanacho together with others huge opportunities to bring that game to bed.
Leicester will take on Crystal Palace at home in the weekend before PSV is back on next Thursday. It will be a very exciting game to watch.
