We have looked up a number of our former foxes as we do our updates. Islam Slimani scored this weekend for his new club Anderlecht after making a change for Brest, earlier making a shift to Sporting last summer. The 34 year old forward from Algeria scored the 2nd goal in the 81st minute. Sint-Truiden were their opponent with a certain Shinji Okazaki in the line-up.
Kamal Sowah is also on duty in Belgium, playing on a regular basis for Brugge under the comand of Scott Parker. Sowah came on in the 65th minute in their game vs. Union Saint-Gilloise. Brugge are currently 4th in Jupiler, Anderlecht standing 10th, as the two giants are far behind leader of the league Genk.
Alan Sheehan has since his retirment from playing a year ago experienced something of a rocket ride in coaching, first taking up a role at Luton under Nathan Jones and then following him to Southampton, and as Jones was sacked Sheehan walked as well.
Marc Albrighton experienced a great start of his loan spell at West Bromwich winning 1-0 at home to Coverntry and being voted man of the match. But reality striked hard in the away clash with Birmingham this weekend, ending up with a 2-0 defeat and getting substituted.
Riyad Mahrez has been a good form for Man City lately, scoring from the penalty spot vs. Aston Villa today as Man City turned out 3-1 winners at Villa Park. Harry Maguire is back in the Man Utd team and was influential as they took on Leeds at Elland Road, winning 2-0 away, again showing form after a struggling period.
Ben Mee has been massive this season for Brentford, making his free transfer move from Burnley in the summer and not lloked back since. At the age of 33 he is still very much up for it, being part of a massive 1-1 draw vs. Arsenal this weekend at The Emirates.
Ben Chilwell came on for Chelsea in the 67th minute as they held West Ham to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge. Jeffrey Schlupp started for Crystal Palace in their 1-1 draw with Brighton. Hamza Choudhury played 71 minutes in Watford’s 1-1 draw at home vs. Blackburn, being replaced with another former Leicester player, Tom Cleverley.
Matty James played the full game for Bristol City when they won 1-0 at home vs. Norwich. Andy King was an unused sub for The Robins as three vital points were brought to the bag for Nigel Pearson and his men.Viktor Johansson was in goal for Rotherham and Lee Peltier played in defense when The Millers drew 0-0 away to Blackpool.
A new strong result for Gary Rowett and his Millwall as they defeated QPR 2-1 away at Loftus Road. Rowett and his Lions are currently 5th in The Championship and stearing towards a possible play off position.
George Hirst started on top for Ipswich as they drew 2-2 vs. Sheffield Wednesday. David Stockdale was an unused sub for The Owls as Hirst still have to wait for his first league goal on loan for The Tractor Boys, he has been involved in 5 games so far.
Ryan Loft had to leave the field after 42 minutes being red carded for Bristol Rovers in their 0-1 away defeat to Lincoln. Callum Wright is contributing well for Plymouth as they defeated Porstmouth 3-1 at home and are currently top of League One. He has since his move from Blackpool played 4 games, scored 1, the match stats are. two wins, a draw and a loss.
Josh Knight came on in the 67th minute for Peterborough, and being part of a nightmare game vs. Bolton, being 4-0 down when Knight came on and conceded one more goal to be trashed 0-5 at home. Callum Elder started for Hull in their 0-0 draw vs. Stoke, Nick Powell came on as a late sub for The Potters.
Kasey McAteer came of the bench to make his debut for Wimbledon in their 0-0 home draw vs. Carlisle. McAteer entered the field in the 85th minute. Wimbledon are currently 14th in League Two.
Ben Nelson was a starter for Doncaster as they defeated Swindon 2-0 at home, Jake Wakeling was in the Swindon line-up. Nelson has so far played 4 games for his new team and this was the first win as Doncaster climbed to 9th in the table.
Ademola Lookman has this season shown fantastic form for Atalanta and also contributing well in their recent 1-0 away win vs. Lazio. Lookman is their leading goalscorer with 12 in 21 games. Atalanta are currently 3rd in Serie A.
