Daniel Amartey looks to be the next man leaving Leicester, with Youri Tielemans and Caglar Soyuncu both departed earlier on. and just after the season end.

News are that Besiktas are the front runners in the chase for the Ghana international, but as a free agent, don’t be surprised to see other teams trying to push for his signature.

Earlier on AC Milan were said to have an interest in Amartey, who was left totally out in the dark after Dean Smith came in at the club, and also not really rated highly by fans, with a number of blunders and bad decision making, that resulted in defensive errors.

He was given trust by several managers, signed by Claudio Ranieri in January 2016, and also getting games in that fantastic 5000/1 season. He was later also given trust by Claude Puel, and then experiencing a difficult time on the sidelines after suffering with a broken leg.

In total Daniel Amartey played 106 league games for Leicester, scoring 2 goals. His total in all competitions was 145 games and 3 goals. To see him leave at this time is no surprise, and we all believed he would have gone after last season, but surprisingly given trust by Brendan Rodgers and a one year extension to his deal.

The pace of Premier League and Amartey looking a bit stressed and not able to handle the tempo, made it difficult to see how he should continue life at this football club. Accordingly his time is over as he now looks for new adventures, and possibly in a league that would be suitable for him, as both Turkish and Italian life of top flight football could be a god match.
