Enzo Maresca looks to have started his recruitment process as he now prepare for the next season coming up. According to news from Italy, Maresca will ask Roberto Vitiello to join him as assistant manager.

Adam Sadler, Mike Stowell and Lars Knudsen are still under contract at the club being part of the coaching staff under Brendan Rodgers and later interim manager Dean Smith.

Vitiello was also assistant manager under Maresca when at Parma, as the two both moved on since that happening and worked seprately until Maresca now looks to have decided his wing man.

Vitiello is also a former professional player, being at Palermo together with Maresca. He was banned from football for four years, in the 2011 match fixing scandal, later reduced to a 9 month ban, as part of a major group of players sentenced. Vitiello played for Siena at the time.

Rumours are that Maresca’s former Man City U.23 assistant Danny Walker also will be joining Leicester, coming in from Peterborough. Walker is an experienced man earlier also being involved in the England youth set-up.

So far no news on the trio present at the club, but possibly staying on as their contracts are relevant in this picture, we just have to wait and see.
