Luke Thomas was chosen by Lee Carsley to play in the semi-final vs. Israel, and the England team scored three times to win 3-0, goals coming from Morgan Gibbs-White (Forest), Cole Palmer (Man City) and Cameron Archer (Aston Villa).
England are on a great run and so far unbeaten in the tournament and not let in any goals yet, Luke Thomas playing his 2nd game in the tournament, also on the field in the group game vs. Germany.
Thomas completed the full game and must be said to have a good chance of playing the final with the opponent to be decided in the semi-final later today between Spain and Ukraine.
Luke Thomas is a player to follow closely, still only 22 years of age, and of course building on international experience with 14 England U.21 caps to his name to date. He has over the past four seasons played 56 PL games and often been on the fringe as other alternatives have taken their place.
Last season he got his chance under both Brendan Rodgers and Dean Smith and finished the season in the best way possible, playing on the left back, as Leicester defeated West Ham. He has been under a bit of critisism from certain areas of the fanbase, and often questioned, but still Premier League clubs such as West Ham and Forest are said to be keen on a transfer.
Best of luck to Luke Thomas as he now hopefully will be chosen to play in the final at the Adjarabet Arena on Saturday.
