Ben Nelson and Marcal Madivadua both playing with the U.21’s vs. Fulham on Friday evening. Leicester coach Ben Petty has seen an ugly campaign so far, but the result yesterday is a step in the correct direction.
Marcal Madivadua has surprisingly been left out of the Leicester first team squad after being a full member and a starting player at several occassions, but of course a great boost for Ben Petty as his U.21 team will be much stronger with such a quality player in the line-up.
His contribution were seen straight from the start, scoring the first of goal of the evening. New arrival from Chelsea, Silko Thomas scored the next as Leicester were 2-0 up, but had to see one goal conceded before the break.
Coming out 2nd half with a 2-1 lead, it build confidence as another goal came late from Kian Pennant, as the final result settled, 3-1. After six defeats on the trot, it must be fantastic for Ben Petty to see his team win. Ben Nelson also had his say building a good partnership in the back with Paul Appiah and Thomas Wilson-Brown.
Leicester will again meet Fulham in their next game, this time in the cup, as they try to lift themselves and boost confidence in a team that surely has quality, also fielding full internationals Deniche Hall (Berumuda) and Brendon Cover (Jamaica).
