Fabrizio Romano has earlier today confirmed the move of Belgian international midfielder Arthur Vermeeren from Royal Antwerpen to Atletico Madrid. The 18 year old midfielder was sold for a fee of €27 million, and is one of Europe’s most interesting prospects, and this season an ever present for “The Great Old”.

This will free up cash and also space in the squad to get a new exclusive player in, and the move of Dennis Praet looks imminent and will most certainly be confirmed in the next few days.

Dennis Praet (29) is an experienced midfielder and at Belgian Jupiler level he will shine and bring good quality and hopefully see Royal Antwerpen push for higher places, being 5th in the league at the moment.

Royal Antwerpen was last seasons winners of the Belgian Jupiler, and this season competing in Champions League, but ended last in their group, so the European adventure is over. Still in the domestic cup competition after their 3-2 win of Leicester sister club OH Leuven.

Dennis Praet have a great stature in Belgium, playing for Anderlecht before and also a full international. His move to Italy and later Leicester, and of course having a good loan spell at Torino, makes him an ideal player for Mark Van Bommel, and it will be interesting for club and player.

Praet never fulfilled his potential at Leicester, never given a proper chance to shine, being in heavy competition and pushed around in the team, also having injury issues during his time at the club.

Dennis Praet is out of contract at Leicester in the summer, and it’s rumoured that a loan will be what is happening, of course seeing wages being cut from the Leicester budget and giving Royal Antwerpen a chance to take the player on a free in the summer, will will wait and see.
