Jose Mourinho is searching for his next job in management and listening to his recent interview with Fabrizio Romano, you have the objective clear. JM and his plan is to start with a new club this summer. We all know about Jose’s fondness of Premier League and English football, so to see him back in a job in that frame can of course happen. His last stint in Premier League management was with Tottenham, being there from november 2019 to april 2021. He did enough to stay in the job, but in some way every party who hires him, looks to be ready to sack him, or he walks himself and accepts another challenge.

With a possible 10 points deduction we would not consider Jose Mourinho the next man to walk in the door at Leicester, but a former Premier League and FA Cup winner in recent years, as well as being in a semi-final against his team Roma in 2022, makes it a thrilling challenge that would be one to trigger him.

He was the manager that had to leave Chelsea in that 2015/16 season, after being defeated by Claudio Ranieri and having a bad run of results, taking Chelsea to a league winning title the season before. His presence would scare everyone playing him and he loves a revenge and challenge.

His work and recruitment can be admired and especially what he did at Inter, makes him special. He worked closely with Esteban Cambiasso, having the former Leicester player in his squad and playing in that special 2010 Champions League final, winning 2-0 vs. Bayern Munich. Not to forget winning Serie A in the previous season.

During his days at Spurs, he had Harry Winks in his team and over that period of time, the current Leicester midfielder played 7 times for England. Winks played regularly in the team of Jose Mourinho.

During his first years at Chelsea, Robert Huth played under him. Huth is back at Leicester, in a role looking after players out on loan and having tabs on their situation, as they of course still are club property.

Looking at his coaching staffs at different clubs, he has his own group of people, being close to him and of course also of great importance for those special goals being reached. When leaving Roma last season, he had earlier on, lost his assistant, Joao Sacramento, who had decided to leave to try to become a head coach or team manager himself . He experienced something similar with Rui Faria at Man Utd. Andre Villas Boas, Rui Faria and Nuno Santos are other persons who have worked closely with Jose Mourinho, in different roles and at different clubs.

To see Jose Mourinho as a potential man for Leicester, looks strange, but stranger things have happened in the past. His hunger for new projects would see him as the ideal man, from a fans point of view, as his result focus becomes the factor of his style. His weakness to this point, we all know and recognize, showing lack of understanding when he is under pressure and cannot deliver the results in demand.
