Leicester in pre-season friendly vs. FV Rot-Weiss Weiler, live update available

Leicester today in action against Rot Weiss Weiler, in a practice match not earlier announced by Leicester, but looks well prepared by the home team. The game did not kick off to the planned time, due to weather conditions.

Not much information yet on anything, but we will post more from the game when and if it will be played, at this moment, we are just waiting for a delayed kick off time. You can follow the game live, enter here

So who are Leicester playing against. Rot-Weiss Weiler are based in Weiler-Simmerberg. The stadium capacity is 1000. The game is sold out, so of course a lot of attention when a Premier League team comes to visit. This is a major highlight in the calendar of FV Rot-Weiss Weiler. The Foxes, with the stars around captain Jamie Vardy, Jannik Vestergaard or Wout Faes, will reside in the week from July 29 to August 2 at the Hotel Tannenhof and train in the Raiffeisenbank Stadium. The highlight of the training week is certainly the test match against our FV Rot-Weiss Weiler. The game will kick off on 31.07. at 18:30. The stadium opens at 17:00, tickets are available in advance at the Tourist Information Weiler or on the Postbierterrasse at the Raiffeisenbank Stadium on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 17:00.

LCFC do have updates via X – Twitter, but not seen anything on the official website, so far, but we do understand the risk of announcing this, it could have stretched the limits of the stadium capacity.

We will follow up with more information from the game during the evening.

The game has been abandoned due to difficult weather conditions. This looked to be a grand event for the 7th tier club, Rot Weiss Weiling. Leicester are based in the area, so maybe they will play at a later stage, we will wait for further information.
