Ben Dawson and Danny Alcock has left Leicester, both coaches being recruited last summer. They have served under Steve Cooper and Ruud van Nistelrooy. Dawson in a flexible role, Alcock being the goalkeeper coach.

Earlier today the club made their statement about the departure. During last week’s pre match press conference for Brentford, Ruud van Nistelrooy was clear. Andy King had joined his group. Brian Barry-Murphy, Andrew Hughes and Jelle ten Rouwelaar are the others in the first team coaching staff set up.

The heat is on, no doubt about it. Few still believe Ruud will walk. Can he be given more time if he is pointless in his next three games? Will he have more time to adjust his team and performances?

We see no reaction to bad results. There are no changes or adjustments in the way of play or formations.

Jelle Ten Rouwelaar will continue his work with the goalkeepers, having a long life in this type of profession. He is a goalkeeper legend for NAC Breda, playing 313 league games for them from 2007 to 2016. He has also played for Emmen, PSV, Groningen, Twente, PEC Zwolle and Austria Wien.

To see the results and performances from the latter games this season gives no value and no dignity. It sums up a period of no goals scored, no points taken, and no fighting spirit. It looks so bad that few can understand how this can continue.

Andy King was introduced last week as a new member of the first team coaching staff. He looks to be getting a more important role now that Ben Dawson has left.

This could be a first test for a shake up. As it stands now, Ruud looks to be leading the team, instead are changes done around him. Ruud needs to compose a team that has more energy and movement. The static game played at the moment is so far from standard and quality that this squad of players possess.
