Leicester City were up against their sister club OH Leuven this Saturday in their second game of this pre-season campaign. Andy King was in charge of the team in a special game over four different halfs.

There were 33 Leicester players involved. In real this looked more a training session with one focus, to get everyone minutes. It also gave other answers and feedback.

Leicester had an exciting starting line-up with Monga, Page and Aluko. They all impressed during the session, taking an early lead. This came from an OH Leuven own goal.

Leicester then had a second line-up, having Ben Nelson and Stephy Mavididi among those coming on. Harry Winks made a sloppy decision. This resulted in Jacub Stolarczyk being taken by surprise from an own half strike. The shot was well placed. The Poland U21 international rushed back. However, he had no chance to save the accurate shot from a far distance.

Later in the game Jordan Ayew became the second Leicester goalscorer on the day. A lucky shot from a corner ended in goal. James Justin also came close a few minutes later.

This was in real a special session, ending in a Leicester win vs. OH Leuven. They are a top flight team back in Belgium. This shows the depth of this squad in total.

So far an unbeaten run for Andy King. He seems to have been in charge for the last time during this period. That is, unless negotiations with Marti Sufentes break down. The club has not confirmed the manager’s decision yet. However, it seems everyone believes this is a settled deal.
