No one really belived Wales had a chance in their last game of the Euro 2025 tournament. To play England is in real special. Two Leicester players made their mark for The Dragons on the occassion, Olivia Clark and Hannah Cain.
Goalkeeper Olivia Clark was chosen to play from start. To date she has earned 30 caps for Wales, at the age of 23. This was here second game of this tournament, being dropped from the game vs. France. She was in goal for the first game vs. Holland.
Hannah Cain came on in the 65th minute. She scored the Wales goal in a match totally dominated by England. Despite a 1-6 defeat in the end, Wales are progressing. They had three very difficult opponents, but they have learned a lot.
Hannah Cain (26) and Olivia Clark (23) are representing Leicester in the best way possible. They are always positive and working on. Clark is born in Lincoln, but through her grandfather, John Thomas, having right to play for Wales. She signed for Leicester last season, coming from Dutch club FC Twente. Cain has been with Leicester since 2020, joining from Everton.

Pleasure watching Leicester players during the tournament, as they have been given chances to play in this tournament. Belgium, Janice Cayman and Seri Kees. Wales, Hannah Cane and Olivia Clark, Finland, Jutta Rantala and Iceland, Hlin Eiriksdottir.
Lize Kop, who used to represent Leicester, but know play for Spurs, was in the Holland squad, but she never entered the field. Holland ended 3rd, with Wales behind them in 4th, England and France going through.
Leicester women will go on a tour to America, hopefully getting their Euro stars back. There are also a number of contract issues to solve before the WSL season kicks off.
