Norwich 1, Leicester 2, positives and negatives, player ratings and match report, Championship fixture

Marti Cifuentes kept his pattern of change. He had to replace Jacub Stolarczyk, Asmir Begovic taking his place. But to again leave out Luke Thomas, after a good performance vs. Boro’, made no sense, playing Ricardo Pereira in his position. Julian Carranza also out, replaced with Patson Daka.

Jordan James was again played out of his best position, being the top man in that midfield pivot.

The game started with heavy pressure from Norwich. Leicester managed to cool it down. However, they still had problems adjusting with The Canaries pushing for a goal.

Leicester came more and more into the game, but struggled to build momentum. It was little or no penetration, it never ended in a finished product. After 38 minutes, Ben Nelson had to leave the field. Luke Thomas replaced him. Caleb Okoli moved into the centre and Ricardo Pereira shifted to the right.

Leicester 0, Norwich 0 at half time. The first half gave no evidence of improvement. Abdul Fatawu faced a troubling half. He did not really get the space needed to play to his best. Norwich blocked most attempts for Leicester and actually were nearest to score.

Leicester comes out second half being pushed backwards by Norwich. The Canaries had a number of attempts. These were blocked and stopped by Asmir Begovic. A Norwich goal looks very close. In the 62nd minute, it all happens. Mathias Kvistgaarden gets free an his shot from distance goes in down in the bottom right corner.

Norwich push for more. Instead, Leicester gets an equalizer from Bobby De Cordova-Reid after 75 minutes. He came in just minutes earlier and found the goal with a clever shot. Patson Daka assisted the goal. Stephy Mavididi has also been introduced. Oliver Skipp and Jordan Ayew left the field.

Leicester looks the side to win this battle, with a good push for goal. Caleb Okoli goes down in the Norwich penalty half after bumping into Jannik Vestergaard. He is replaced with Wout Faes. The clock shows 90 minutes.

Then two minutes later that magic happens. Leicester players shows in a short period of time what they are capable of, as Abdul Fatawu is played through by Bobby De Cordova-Reid. A great cross from Fatawu into the box. Jordan James finds the net with a special header. Leicester have turned the game.

Leicester are back on winning ways, to do away shows everything is possible. However, it was still a heavy struggle and not really convincing. They played a team with great problems themselves. In the end, it was lovely to see it happen, but the patient is not out of the hospital.

After the game today Leicester are 12th, 4 points behind the play-off positions.

Positives
- Getting Bobby De Cordova-Reid on the field, that changed the dynamic completely
- Jordan James late on pushed into his best role, and suddenly Leicester becomes giants
- Great to see the fight to get back into the game and not give up, scoring the winner in stoppage time
- Two great goals scored
- Patson Daka playing the full game, he is vital with his runs, do not focus on his lack of goals, he will soon score
Negatives
- Wrong line-up from start, again playing Jordan James out of position
- Abdul Fatawu needs to be more involved early on
- Not able to defend and play securely
- Too little penetration, too many back passes
- Injuries to Ben Nelson and Caleb Okoli
