Rumours are that the Leicester board have a meeting later today to decide on the future of Marti Cifuentes. Cifuentes (43) has not managed to get a group of high paid players to perform as a solid unit.
The reason behind all the difficulties this season are easy to see. The problem is of course that Marti Cifuentes has not managed to get the sales needed to bring in new players.
The rotation policy and no momentum has in real made this season close to a nightmare. The random play and difficulties to score and win games against lower positioned sides is a major worry.
Fans are not satisfied with the energy level and the sideway play. We also see little or no will to play much more direct and attacking minded football. Leicester are very predictable and teams are often playing with a low block to stop Leicester. Marti Cifuentes looks clueless in these type of situations.

The City Boss acknowledged that they should feel frustrated after defeat against Oxford United at King Power Stadium.

Leicester are just 6 points form a play-off position and at times against better sides, Leicester do perform well, so a mixed feeling about everything. The risk of bringing in a new manager at this point with so many players on outgoing contracts and no chance to bring in new players, looks very risky, but we have seen this before, and the answer looks always to point at the team manager.
We will wait for the message later today and believe Leicester will sack Marti Cifuentes after what happened yesterday against a relegation fighter. Oxford should be a win at home in ten of ten games.
The major question is, who are lined up to take over. Often and in the past a caretaker will come in. At the moment that man could and looks likely to be Andy King. King (37) is a trusted man around this club and he also had the responsibility in pre-season, before Marti Cifuentes arrived.
