A new look starting eleven, showing a bit of boldness from Gary Rowett. A good set up giving Jeremy Monga and Louis Page starting positions as the two young talents made their mark from start.

Hamza Choudhury was also given a midfield role, bringing Ricardo Pereira back in the starting line-up. Abdul Fatawu was not part of the squad, being out with an injury. Stephy Mavididi also made the starting line-up.

We thought we had seen the last of Harry Winks, but not doubt from Gary Rowett, he has full belief in the player and played him from start, leaving out Oliver Skipp.

A random set up and far from an easy guess selection. We believed in a number of changes, but to see this outcome was a surprise. Anyway everything looked promising from start.

Leicester had a number of extraordinary chances, but they did not manage to get the ball over the line. Heroic defending and good goalkeeper action stopped Leicester from taking an early lead.

As always Leicester found it hard to utilize their opportunities. That gave Blackburn a chance to find momentum. Today both Jannik Vestergaard and Harry Souttar made a huge contribution as well as having a defensive midfield anchor in Hamza Choudhury in front of them doing a lot of heavy work to keep it clean.

No goals to neither parties after first half. A good half for Leicester, nice to see Monga and Page being allert and on the front foot, creating chances and coping well with this level of football.

Coming out second half Blackburn started well and made it difficult for Leicester. Great goalkeeping from Jacub Stolarczyk helped Leicester in this crucial period, holding the pressure from Blackburn on distance.

Leicester made changes in the 60th minute, taking off Jeremy Monga and Louis Page, bringing on Jordan Ayew and Silko Thomas. Then in the 73rd minute it was time for two more substitutions, bringing on Olabade Aluko and Jordan James for Ricardo Pereira and Patson Daka.

Leicester then managed to get their act together and more and more being dominant. Then in the 78th minute it was time for Leicester to score. A good build up by Jordan Ayew made it possible for Stephy Mavididi to score from close range, Leicester had a deserved 1-0 lead.

Blackburn never managed to challenge Leicester enough to create those chances to score. Jacub Stolarczyk again showed his quality and became the important man towards the end. Then in the 88th minute time for a league debut. Kevon Gray replacing Harry Souttar for the final minutes.

A smooth end to a long and very troublesome campaign came to close with a 1-0 win away at Ewood Park. It showed the quality in the squad and how it could have been done. Looking at everything in review, Gary Rowett, did the job he was made to do, since Leicester without a points deduction would have been safe, so he can in real not be blamed for Leicester being relegated as he had no impact on the points deduction.
