Leicester will have to strengthen their squad next season. Deportivo La Coruna has returned to La Liga Primera Division after their promotion from Segunda this season. English midfielder Charlie Patino is one player in their squad.
He is not a regular starter for the Spanish club and his situation is uncertain. But his potential is one to recognize. He is only 22 years of age and previously been at Arsenal. He has had good loan spells at Blackpool and Swansea. A versatile midfielder with a good vision.
A ball-playing midfielder, Patino has stated that former Arsenal players Santi Cazorla and Cesc Fàbregas are influences in his style of play. Through his youth career, he was dubbed ‘the next Frenkie De Jong’ by fans, as his playstyle was seen as ‘eerily close’ to the former Ajax midfielder.
Another player with a special background is Finn Porath. He is a German midfielder, currently with Schalke 04, who recently returned to Bundesliga. Joined from Holstein Kiel were he featured for the club in Bundesliga with great success.
Born, February 23, 1997. German professional footballer who can play in different roles. Either in midfield or as right wing-back.
Finn Porath is not a permanent fixture in the starting XI for FC Schalke 04, but rather a versatile and heavily used rotational player and substitute.Since transferring from Holstein Kiel in August 2025, he has made over 20 competitive appearances for Schalke 04, frequently earning minutes by filling various roles across the midfield and on both defensive and offensive wings.
A successful first outing for Finn Porath 🤗

Leicester need to get back to those cunning moves in the transfer market that will give them special value for money. The formula of throwing big cash after players and believe they get better by throwing even more cash after them, is no solution going forward.
Leicester needs to be smart and clever in every move going forward.
We have earlier suggested a pathway, but everything comes down to what the club will do next.
Bilal El Khannouss is confirmed sold to Stuttgart. Jeremy Monga could be close to an Arsenal move. These two moves will gain a transfer fee of around £40million. We believe that Caleb Okoli, Wout Faes, Harry Winks and Abdul Fatawu are sellable assets as well.
Hamza Choudhury, Harry Souttar, Stephy Mavididi, Ben Nelson and Louis Page are other players mentioned as potential sales. We would not like to see another season having helpless loan moves happen, not even considering playing some of them.
Will be an interesting summer to follow up on.
