Lincoln Hijack? Ings and Vardy? Minutes from Yesterday as Russell Martin Expect New Arrivals

According to Josh Holland from Leicester Mercury, new players will join and others will leave in the upcoming days.

Jeremy Monga has left LCFC, as confirmed yesterday by his new club Man City. Victor Kristiansen missed the first pre-season game against Northampton due to a medical, as he is set to join Panathinaikos on loan with an option to buy.

Logan Briggs featured yesterday for Northampton vs. Leicester, coming on half time. During his minutes on the field, Leicester did not score. Briggs got a 6,7 rating from the Sofascore team, in what also came out as a major positive for Leicester, winning 3-0.

Danny Ings and Conor Chaplin are two players being said to have an interest from Leicester. No transfers yet to be confirmed. Russell Martin saying yesterday, “New faces will arrive soon”. According to other reliable sources, The Telegraph journalist John Percy, Leicester are clear favourites to land Danny Ings. Conor Chaplin is also a favourite, but also said to have strong interest from Lincoln City.

Will Alves will not be satisfied without an important role in the Leicester team next season. His performance vs. Northampton shows his level. He will be an interesting player to look at for a number of different clubs on shelves above Leicester. Derby and Ipswich are two clubs looking for prospects and profiles similar to Will Alves.

Kevon Gray and Silko Thomas were two players with game time in the Leicester first team last season, both being absent from the game yesterday. Silko Thomas has later been confirmed released.

Nice to see the involvement of Kirsten Otchere, who looked composed and settled. Nathan Opoku was also seen in a first team game for Leicester. Having previously played in the Belgian top flight with OH Leuven, and having a loan spell at Newport last season, he is one to consider as his level should be correct for next season.

There are many open questions. Ben Nelson and Caleb Okoli are two players being linked with italian clubs. Nelson attract interest from Torino, Okoli also talked up as a potential player for them. Okoli is also listed as a target for Monza.

Harry Winks, not involed yesterday, and Oliver Skipp are two players expected to leave the club. Middlesbrough are keen on Skipp, Winks said to be completing a move to Italian club Cagliari very soon.

Talks with Jannik Vestergaard is said to be ongoing regarding a contract termination.

Jamie Vardy is back at Seagrave for tests, but any talk of him returning to the club has been firmly dismissed. Strange to see him in an invorenment with Leicester training wear and being assisted by Leicester coaching staff members.
