Logan Briggs made his Northampton pre-season debut vs. Leicester, coming on second half in that 0-3 defeat. Since then he has played in games vs. Cambridge (0-0), Birmingham (0-2), Coventry (0-0) and Southend (3-1). He looks to be doing well and hopefull to see him in action and in full progress getting prepared to League Two football. Joe Wormleighton also on their books and fighting for a place in the first team.
On July 25th, Patson Daka made a strong impression in his pre-season debut for Hamburg against Heidenheim, scoring one of the three goals in their 3-0 victory. Although he struggled at Leicester, he frequently displayed moments of talent.
On the same date, Demarai Gray scored both goals for Birmingham in that friendly win vs. Northampton. He looks to become an important player for The Blues this upcoming EFL Championship season.
On the 29th of July Ipswich played Osasuna. Abdul Fatawu got his first minutes for The Tractor Boys, being defeated
1-2 on the day. Fatawu played the first half. Cedric Kipre and Kasey McAteer coming on in the 60th minute, George Hirst not involved.
Wrexham have played four pre-season friendlies so far. Matty James, their captain, Danny Ward in goal and Callum Doyle on the left in defence, played Liverpool earlier today at The Jankey Stadium in New York. Lewis Brunt came on as a sub second half in the game ending in a 1-0 defeat for The Dragons. Other games vs. Leeds (3-2), Man Utd (1-0) and Wisla Krakow (0-0), shows the ability and strong results against tough opponents. This is how brutal football can be if you ending up doing a lot of errors, watching on as Leicester are a tier below.
Kelechi Iheanacho came on as a second half sub for Bursaspor in his first game for his new club, taking on Shakhtar Donetsk. The game ended 0-0. Iheanacho made his move to Turkey earlier in the summer, leaving Celtic after his contract expired.
Jeremy Monga and Devine Mukasa were included in the traveling squad for Man City as they jetted out of Manchester Airport for their 2026 Asia Tour. Will be interesting to watch the progress of the former Leicester teammates.

Enzo Maresca has named an initial 28-man squad for our upcoming tour of Asia.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been involved in all three Everton pre-season friendlies so far. A convincing 4-0 win vs. Dundee, 0-0 vs. Bolton and 0-1 defeat to Stoke. He started vs. Dundee and Stoke, coming in from the bench vs. Bolton.
Promising pre-season start for Mads Hermansen, keeping a clean sheet vs. Rangers (0-0) and Stevenage (5-0). Also playing in that first friendy vs. Southend, ending in a 1-1 draw. Hermansen have started all three games for The Hammers.
Harry Winks is much involved for Cagliari in their two first pre-season friendlies. In the starting line-up vs. his former club, Sampdoria, that game ending in a 0-0 draw. He came of the bench in his second outing vs. Modena and on the field when Cagliari scored their 1-0 winner.
Harry Maguire has been the captain for Man Utd in their two pre-season friendlies, playing Wrexham (0-1) and Rosenborg (5-0). Bruno Fernandez is not yet reported back after being involved in the World Cup.
Henry Cartwright came on second half in his first game for Bradford on the 17th of July. The Bantams had to see a 0-1 defeat, Accrington scoring the winner in the 35th minute. Cartwright made his second appearance in a 3-2 home win vs. Preston. Former Leicester loanee Nick Powell was their match winner scoring the last goal of the game in the 82nd minute.
Goalkeeper Brad Young started the game for Bristol Rovers vs. Leicester, letting in that early goal from Kirsten Otchere after just 4 minutes. He was subbed off after the first half. Young has after his game also been the starting goalkeper vs. Portsmouth (1-1), was also appearing for The Pirates vs. Forest Green (2-2).
A difficult pre-season so far for Lincoln as they have been defeated by lower league opponents. Callum Elder in the starting line-up vs. Leyton Orient on the 17th of July, defeated 0-2. Then again in the squad, on the 27th of July, losing 1-5 vs. Grimsby.
Ben Chilwell (Strasbourg) and Sidnei Tavares (Blackburn) both involved when Rovers won this game 2-0.
