Sam Tierney will stay with Leicester, signing a new two year deal with the club. Great news and fantastic to keep the solid and quality midfielder in a season when a fight for promotion will be the goal.
More players have left since we last made an update. Attacker Shannon O’Brien has left to join Crystal Palace. Ashley Neville has also left the club to join Charlton Athletic. Sari Kees has also departed and will next season play for Ajax.
There are also happening things on the incoming front. Republic of Ireland international Jessie Stapleton have joined from West Ham. The 21 year old will be a good addition. She can operate in multiple roles, playing both midfield and in central defence. She has not appeared much for The Hammers, but spent time on loan at Reading, Sunderland and Forest in previous seasons.
Another new recruit is Jess Ziu, also coming from West Ham. Jess is a midfielder, having a past at Shelbourne and Bristol City. Also a full international for Republic of Ireland.
Other news today confirm that Leicester will play Sheffield United away on the opening day of the WSL2 season.
