The tough times we’ve experienced with Leicester City over the past five seasons, except for one, have made us all think. As a true Leicester City fan, this club and its situation are likely on your mind all the time.
For us who have decided to go public with our views and thoughts as well as covering the club on a daily basis, we need to express our frustration a bit more balanced.
The reason for the downfall in recent years relates to the ownership rather than the manager, but the fans of this football club share some responsibility too.
Claudio Ranieri was given negative chants, only 6 months after he had won the PL title, ending in a terrible decision to sack him. We did see fans negativity even under Enzo Maresca, getting promoted to PL as winners of EFL Championship, with 97 points.
Some fans wanted Brendan Rodgers removed, and Claude Puel also faced criticism despite bringing in good players. Brendan struggled near the end, facing pressure from senior players and strong negativity from parts of the fanbase.
The appointment of Steve Cooper was not a popular one, but during his time at the club he was never down in the relegation zone, getting the sack, being influenced by a fanbase, knowing they could chant him out of the club.
Football is a results-focused business, and how you manage your team and finances often determines your success. Injuries and various challenges on and off the field can create different situations.
The happy clapper approach might be much better than the fan showing disgust and going online to get their frustration out in public. Certain Leicester fan channels bring on people to their shows, that does not belong in an online, video based, show business environment. They are far too negative, many appear close to caved animals.
What we did see at the game vs. Stockport last Saturday is one very strange situation. Leicester fans showing their negativity even when the team were winning. Travelling to Stockport and having a go at the manager at a time when the team needs all the support it can get to get a winning result over the line, makes it obscure to watch.
Hopefully, none of the players, the manager, or anyone at the club pays attention to or acknowledges such behavior. Sadly, these people continue to appear at games home and away. We have seen banners, protest walks, and various fan groups claiming to be the united representative of the fanbase, even though no single group truly does.
We do also express some sort of feeling at this website. We honestly believe we are far from a happy clapper, but hopefully give a balanced view of what is going on. To just paint everything black and go down in the cellar everytime this football club consede a goal or miss a chance, will not be good for anyone.

The primitive style of play that some fans support is not how football is schooled at this club’s academy. The talent developed here, usually sticks to the possession style, aiming to improve technical skills, building one layer on another to get to the top of the fundamental football learning curve and playing on the floor.
You can argue forward and backwards how football should be played and it is always arguments to discuss, but to go for a long ball strategy, would be a structural change in the mind set, and again moving away from what have brought talents to this club over a long period of time.
We have seen players leave at an young age, sadly losing talents such as Darren Motsy, Jeremy Monga and Trey Nyoni to the bigger and better. We all know were they progressed and moved on from, something that of course will be benefitial for the club going forward.
Hopefully, the club’s recent struggles will improve, bringing together positive fans, critics, and those who stopped attending games as loyal supporters focused on the next match, instead of feeling entitled to know every detail, from the stadium snack bar hot dog cooking temperature to the player’s underwear size.
Some fans and pundits believe that administration looms, we are not really sure, and of course concerned about the current situation. We are still behind Khun Top until anything changes, and seriously believe he will not drag this club further down and into administration waters, but to be certain of it, with the curtain we have seen in the last few years, nothing will be a surprise.
From our view, hopefully fans will be grounded and understand their place in this and as we all know going public with loads of negativity and turning against players and management hours before, under and after a game will not help a club in need of help.
Russell Martin isn’t hiring himself; The goals on Saturday were mainly due to the chosen style of play and the ability to use transitions to build momentum. Playing to your strengths and having more skilled players on the field will lead to more possession.
The players in this team and squad is mostly new, with only a few players remaining from last season, which calls for patience and respect for the newcomers. Please support the players; being unsupportive would be a mistake, even if you have strong feelings about Leicester’s past and how you believe they should be in your dreams.
