The win against Chelsea made a clear point, that anything is possible, and we all know the past result in the Carabao Cup against Man City and of course to win at home is always possible even against the very best.
The team was unchanged from last game and to see this just continuing was what all hoped for. But it never started as well as everyone had hoped for. A full Leicester City stadium had to see Man City taking the lead with a fine strike from Bernardo.
But the joy for Man City lasted only five minutes, when Jamie Vardy crossed a perfect ball to Marc Albrighton, almost like a telepathic pass from Jamie found Marc inside the penalty box and his header was a real cute one, amazingly nice to be back and level.
Man City never really looked like they were going to sleep, but with so much possession you need to convert, and Leicester City did their best to keep pressure of Kasper Schmeichel who was not as much exposed as you would think.
We would like to give credit to Harry Maguire and Wes Morgan who both had a great game and looks as the preferred pair in the middle, and great credit to Wes who is close to earning a new contract and taking this challenge from other stoppers as a giant should do.
Man City chased the winner, but instead it was Leicester City who had the best of luck this Saturday, without really needing to many chances to score their second goal.
A perfect placed strike from Ricardo Pereira found the net behind Ederson and this was the goal that secured all three points for Leicester against at top top side. To get both the Chelsea and Man City scalp and two straight wins, is just fantastic.
Both games against Chelsea and Man City were won in the same style as the club managed to get so many great results in the past, without having the ball too much, today only 35% possession.
This type of football is of course happening when other sides come forward and against those teams that have a bit more quality, but interesting to see that the defense now is more secure, playing together for a while.
City are up against Cardiff next and that is also at home, so hopefully no banana skins here, and another three points in the bag would be great. Everton will be next on the agenda and at least a draw away at Goodison will keep the smiles on all faithful Leicester City fans.
