Conor Coady was back in the starting line-up, also starting positions to Yunus Akgun, Jacub Stolarczyk and Kasey McAteer as Enzo Maresca made his changes from the game vs. Southampton.

Leicester looked rock solid from start and had controll in every aspect. This set up in the back looks so composed and well working with Conor Coady in there. Wout Faes gets more freedom moving up forward from his left position, lovely to watch.

Leicester kept the pressure and early on, Kasey McAteer should have scored from a header, but it all started to fall into place when Jamie Vardy scored the opener from close, with a stumbling shot passing the goal line, from then on we knew this was going to be a nice evening.

Enzo Maresca rested players such as Stephy Mavididi, Mads Hermansen and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and still had a grand momentum in every part of this game, again lovely to watch.

We could see a team full of confidence and with Kasey McAteer in there you get a different movement as he turns into the field and have other dimentions to his game, and we get something else, as it makes Leicester difficult to track for the opponent manager.

In the 52nd minute it was time again for another Jamie Vardy goal, this one even easier and on an open goal, as Wout Faes had done everything from taking the ball with him up in the Preston penalty area, fired a shot that hit the post for Vardy to just smash it into the net, Leicester were 2-0 up.

A few minutes later Jamie Vardy could have scored his third of the evening, but he missed his chance as the goalkeeper saved his shot, would have liked him to go even further and turn the goalkeeper, but it never happened.

Then in the 67th minute Abdul Fatawu found Kasey McAteer inside the penalty area and his header put this game to bed, Leicester had a comfortable 3-0 lead.

Enzo Maresca made a number of changes later, bringing on Hamza Choudhury, James Justin, Stephy Mavididi, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Tom Cannon, to give more players minutes in a game that was over, with Preston having a major chance to score, but Stolarczyk saved the attempt.

With this result no team can reach the tallies of points Leicester are on with that last game at home to Blackburn still to be played hopefully taking the full tally to 100 points. Jamie Vardy has now scored 190 league goals for Leicester, amazing tally for the 37 year old magician.

This was one game that stands out as the most grand and solid so far this season, maybe not the best, but it was a very confident set up and something that did function almost 100%. This was the eight 2nd tier league championship win for Leicester, no one has done it more.
