Great reports on Callum Wright and his restart at Cheltenham Town. The talented youngster joined The Robins on a new full season loan. Wright (21) scored the equalizer v. Ipswich after 62 minutes, then contributing further to the second goal and securing a great home win v. Ipswich. This was the third game of the season, and with Callum in the team, Cheltenham have four points picked up, one win, one draw and one loss.
George Hirst joined Portsmouth on a similar contract and has so far just been on the field in one of the three games played, coming on as a sub v. Crewe. Pompey are the current leaders of League One with three magnificant wins so far.
Tyrese Shade has so far played two games for Walsall with a more modest start to the season, just one point and currently in the relegation zone of League Two. Thakgalo Leshabela just recently joined Shrewsbury Town, but still to make his debut for Salop who are currently stuck at the bottom of League One without zero points so far.
Daniel Iversen has been in a bit of a difficult situation as Preston North End, struggling big time in the first three games seeing just defeats and no points so far stuck at the very bottom of their division. We hope that Iversen and The Lillywhites will be able to turn their furtunes. They have a win to celebrate with that 3-0 EFL Cup victory over Mansfield Town, and hopefully their quality will show.Embed from Getty Images
Hoffenheim started their Bundesliga campaign last week with a grand 4-0 away win v. Augsburg. Andrej Kramaric started in their line-up and of course contributing with three great assists on those first three goals. Ron-Robert Zieler has seen the start of Hannover’s Bundesliga 2 a bit difficult. Just one point collected in three games and currently 15th in the table among 18 teams.
Lyon with Islam Slimani in the squad have not started as well as they would have liked, with just one point from their three first games, Slimani has played in two and scored once, equalizing in the 1-1 draw v. Brest. Vicente Iborra is back in contention at Villareal, after a long period out with injury. He was an unused sub in the La Liga opener v. Granada, ending 0-0, Ignasi Miquel is still listed with Granada but was not in their squad, he spent last season on loan at Leganes.Embed from Getty Images
Harry Maguire and his Man Utd got a grand start in this seasons Premier League with a 5-1 win v. Leeds. Jesse Lingard was not in the squad and are probably seeking a move away. Chris Wood and Ben Mee both played from start in their 1-2 home defeat v. Brighton.
Jeffrey Schlupp started in the season opener away to Chelsea. Ben Chilwell was an unused sub for The Blues with N’Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater not part of the squad in that 3-0 win at Stamford Bridge. Riyad Mahrez started the game v. Spurs, taken off in 2nd half. Harry Kane was not included in the Spurs squad as the home team won 1-0, a surprising result.Embed from Getty Images
Demarai Gray and Michael Keane both were in the starting line-up for Everton as they hammered Southampton 3-1. A solid debut from Gray as Keane performed in defense in the best way possible.
