Brendan Rodgers need to be careful in his recruitment going forward as certain players will be leaving in the middle of the season looking at the current AFCON tournament with interest. Leicester could be withouth Wilfred Nididi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Ademola Lookman, Papy Mendy and Daniel Amartey. Patson Daka is still at the camp with his nation Zambia not involved, but could of course be in the future.

If you look further at the squad you also other players from African nations in the academy squad and out on loan so with that in mind it would probably be difficult to add more players to the squads at the club as you go forward.

Liverpool are also a club that will see key players leave for AFCON and they will of course be missing Salah, Manè and Keita among those. This is not the ideal situation and will of course affect the results as squads also are down in numbers with players injured and absent for other reasons.

If you look at the different clubs recruitment policy, you need to take certain precautions with players coming from AFCON nations with a great number of talents being available. Leicester will be down in numbers and the club could face great problems with key players being absent.

To have four or five players in your starting line-up from AFCON nations will be risky, as you have a major challenge fielding a team capable of winning football games witch such a squad structure.

Planning your transfer targets might be a bit more difficult as Leicester might have to exclude long term targets and set their eyes on other players from other nations as they try to fill gaps in their current squad of players.

The list of targets are now updated, and as we do se, no players in our list are from AFCON nations which could be a result of so many players coming from these nations allready established at the club.
