Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall had his big breakthrough last season and he cemented a place in the Leicester line-up after being handed his debut early on against Norwich.
His presence made a big impact as Leicester fans of course loves to see “one of their own” making the grade and know it looks as if his future will be with his favorite club and that is of course a good story.
He has been around the club all the time since Brendan Rodgers arrived and also before being a steady Eddie in the U.23 set up for many seasons. He did spend a half season on loan at Blackpool and last season playing for Luton as he was very influencial.
He is still uncapped and never been a youth international and that in it self tells a story that makes everything a bit sensational, but still a very good season on a personal level and awarded young player of the year and players player of the year.
His current contract is running to 2024, but to tie him up and give him a new extended and improved deal would be wise as the club often are attracted by top six to sell. Players and club tends to respond on those terms and sales are often seen.
To see players improve and being pushed up from the academy and development system is the base for any club with some success, but this must be done in the best way possible.
Pre-season will again be the time for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to show us all that he is worth a cemented place in the team and being one of that can give Leicester the dimention and close any gap opening after other players are gone.
