Ben Nelson returned to Leicester and cut short his loan spell with Rochdale, not really working out as expected, but now a new loan move could be on with another League 2 club interested, Doncaster said to be “very keen”.

The Yorkshire club is currently 12th in their division and hopefully this could be a better match for the promising young defender, who will of course learn and get vital experience by playing at a club that will give him first team experience.

Danny Schofield is in charge at Doncaster as the previous Huddersfield manager are looking for players to strengthen his squad, with Ben Nelson said to be a target.

Ben Nelson has been in the U.21 squad and team for the two games vs. Chelsea and Arsenal, and so far no points collected after his return to Leicester, hope to see him progress and get something out of a good loan spell.

Despite having a bit of a low lately regarding results with Leicester U.21 and game time during his loan spell at Rochdale, he is a player very highly rated and hopefully he will get things back on track as interest from Man City, Man Utd and Newcastle showes that he is one very special talent and one player to count for the future.

No doubt that Ben Nelson will be a top quality central defender in the future and still just 18 years of age, it might be a learning curve in front to get his game to a level that will see him also as a future central defender at Leicester in a season or two.
