Harry Souttar was on show for Australia in their friendly vs. England. James Maddison played for England in the 1-0 win. Harry Kane and Harry Maguire were unused subs for England. Yunus Akgun came on for Turkey as they defeated Croatia 1-0 away, a strong result and performance.
Belgium are qualified for the 2024 Euro finals after their strong 3-2 away win to Austria. Timothy Castagne assisted on the first goal. Wout Faes played the full game, alongside in the defence was Timothy Castagne to the right. Youri Tielemans came on as a 2nd half sub.
Denmark will play Kazakhstan later today with Mads Hermansen in the squad, but still Kasper Schmeichel, now representing Anderlecht, is the preferred first choice. The age difference between the two goalkeepers and the form of Hermansen will see him as a very strong contender for the glows.
Danny Ward played from start for Wales in their 4-0 friendly win vs. Gibraltar. Charlie Savage, son of former Leicester midfielder Robbie Savage, made his debut for Wales and had one assist on the goal scored by Kieffer Moore.
Demarai Gray scored on of the goals in Jamaica’s 1-4 away win vs. Grenada. Patson Daka was in the starting eleven when Zambia were defeated 0-1 against Egypt. Kelechi Iheanacho scored one of the goals for Nigeria in their 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia. Wilfred Ndidi played the full match for Nigeria as well. Ademola Lookman was also in the starting eleven for Nigeria.
Chris Wood scored the goal for New Zealand in their game vs. Congo, as it all ended 1-1. Wood will surely be in the line-up in their next game, taking place in London, coming up against Harry Souttar and Australia in an interresting clash between to tall forward and defender.
Jonny Evans was in the starting line-up in today’s match vs. San Marino, being 2-0 up he left the field after 63 minutes, hopefully ready for the next match vs. Slovenia on the 17th of October.
