Yunus Akgun is an exceptional player and to have him at Leicester is just great. So far not been as involved as we would have liked, being the player among the new signings that have the biggest potential to grow into a top player and take on a higher level with ease.
Yunus Akgun scored yesterday with a wonderful strike as Turkey qualified for the 2024 Euro’s., setting them on the bus with this lovely touch, said to the be goal of the round.
We have seen glimps of what to expect from Yunus, but so far Enzo Maresca has turned to other players, not having the same talent and energy of the Turkey international, and we certainly hope that he will get the chance to shine for Leicester, going forward.
Turkey defeated Latvia 4-0, with this fantastic opening goal scored by Yunus, and hopefully this is just a first signal of what this player is all about, having a massive and huge potential.
So far been involved in 7 of Leicester’s games so far this season, and hopefully soon establishing himself in a team that needs his skills and flair to keep up with the standards needed to continue in the style they have started.
He is surely a wonderkid, being capped at every level from U.15 and up to full international level, making his debut for Turkey’s A team in 2022, so far 6 full caps and 2 goals. Looking forward to more exceptional appearances as the season grows.
