Ex Leicester players in Carabao Cup final action and Old Trafford showdown as Premier League heats up in all areas

Timothy Castagne and Calvin Bassey were both in the starting line-up for the clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford, Bassey opened the scoring for Fulham in the 65th minute. Harry Maguire equalized for The Red Devils, but a late goal shocked the MU fans and a 1-2 defeat was a fact. Jonny Evans was an unused sub for MU,

Leicester also involved in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, Ben Chilwell captaining Chelsea, Liverpool naming 16 year old Tray Nyoni on the bench. Neil Danns son Jayden came on the field in the 87th minute. Liverpool won the title in extra time, after an even battle, seeing Chelsea miss loads of opportunities.

Lens are 6th in the Ligue 1 table as Nampalys Mendy is back in the team playing the last two against Monaco and Reims. He played all minutes in both games and looks to have found a good home for his football future, and still very much part of the Senegal national team set up as well.

Kasper Schmeichel was in goal for Anderlecht when Anderlecht defeate Brugge 2-1 at home. A massive win as Anderlecht stey 2nd in the table, Brugge currently 3rd, Union SF are still top.

Harvey Barnes came on for Newcastle in the 64th minute, when they were defeated 4-1 away to Arsenal. Barnes looked fresh and had a few attempts, as he made his fourth appearance in February.

Youri Tielemans started for Aston Villa in their 4-2 home win vs. Nottingham Forest. Tielemans looks to get more game time from Unai Emery, he was substituted in the 82nd minute. Villa are impressive as they still run for a Champions League position, being 4th in the table at this point.

Cedric Kipre played all 90 minutes for West Bromwich in their 1-1 away draw to Hull. Both clubs are in a play-off position, West Bromwich 5th and Hull in 6th position. Victor Johansson and Rotherham are struggling at the bottom of the Championship table, defeated again on Saturday, this time a 1-2 loss away to QPR, taking hte lead early on having it until the 61st minute.

Daniel Iversen was in goal for Stoke, but had to see defeat as Cardiff were the stronger team, winning 2-1 at home. Callum Wright was an unused sub when Plymouth defeated Middlesbrough away, with a strong 2-0 result, both goals coming in the first half.

Tom Lawrence started for Rangers in their 5-0 home win vs. Hearts. He left the field after 56 minutes, but still it looks better for the Wales international, being part of team in good and positive progress on the top of the Scottish Premier table.
