Carlos Corberan and Oscar Garcia are the two names that has been mentioned as the most likely to take over at Leicester. Steve Cooper and Maurizio Sarri together with Graham Potter are other names circling high on the list of possilbe other candidates that Leicester might consider.
Graham Potter looks as favourite among Leicester fans, but that will be wishing for something we do believe will not happen. Potter looks more likely to join his former club Brighton, with previous England Youth World Cup winner Steve Cooper, who left Nottingham Forest earlier in the year. a major competitor.
Enzo Maresca has officially not left Leicester, no announcement today either, waiting for the official statement from Chelsea and Leicester.
Another name that has circulated lately is Ruud van Nistelrooy who is out of a job after leaving PSV Eindhoven a year ago, and being a favourite at this minute. Van Nistelrooy looks a nice fit, and could of course be a splended appointment and one with a high profile from his previous life as a player as well as being manager type that would suit Leicester as a club and in play.
We believe Leicester cannot pick whoever they want and surprised to see them approaching Fabrizio Sarri, but he has said he turned down the approach. Sarri (65) has a good track record, and available on the market after leaving Lazio in March. As long as there are a number of vacant positions out there, manager candidates tends to be linked with a various group of clubs, so it can be difficult to single out vital and special updates regarding the different vacancies.
If you look at the different favourites listed, Ruud Van Nistelrooy is no top at a number of them. We will not rule out anyone at this stage and we feel that Oscar Garcia will be there as security if others should turn down a Leicester approach, but it cannot be dragged out.
At this point it looks a bit difficult to predict anything, with all the different names in the hat, also linked to vacancies at other clubs. Nistelrooy can step into the job without breaking any terms as he is currently unattached.
First we actually need to see an official confirmation of Enzo Maresca joining Chelsea. We certainly hope it will happen soon, to get the express under way to find the next Leicester manager.
