Ensure it does not challenge your financial morals and limits along the line. Understand and respect the rules and regulations from the Premier League, FA, and EFL. They are giving you the license to compete in this competition. If you can’t accept that idea, you need to look at yourself critically. You may need to sell out or decide to make a major change.
A role model to look at for Leicester, most be Brentford. They are understanding their own limitations. They are also progressing with a model and system. This is adapted with their limitations as part of the plan. The negative in this is that reaching Premier League level is probably the bar to reach. They need a different approach to pull themselves over that bar and into the top of English football. This approach is far from realistic. It could affect the financial ability to build and progress as a football club. If they decide to go for a full academy recruitment model, that is fine. Doing both, also signing players for heavy transfer fees and stretching their wage bill, will end in failure. A club like Leicester City cannot achieve both. Then they must move out of their own area. Building the club somewhere else would be an even worse tragedy.
Leicester owners did leave their mantra when getting success. Strange behavior has been observed when money became available. Over different decades, they have used money unwisely. Leicester need to bring in a manager in terms with this as a goal as well as a limitation. Russell Martin will be perfect as he can progress with the club.
