Leicester City Staff Left in the Lurch Over December Pay Delay

Leicester City have informed staff that their usual early payment for December will not go ahead. The strange part of this message is not the delay in it self, but the fact that the workers got the message the day before wages were due.

Leicester City staff expecting this payment pre-Christmas. This is a new negative coming on several other messages on different issues the club have to deal with going forward.

You can read this in different manners. Some believe this is just a new shambolic happening occuring on top of what is going on allready. Other believe this will be sorted out. We are surprised that King Power believe they can cut traditional values and just skip what is normal and traditional, to make an early payment of salaries in due time before Christmas.

You can of course speculate in this, with different ideas of negative thoughts. The recent development at King Power suggests they are far in landing a good contract to continue their business in Thai Airports. But we all know the struggles in front and since the pandemic been a very difficult situation for the club ownership.

There are different ideas out there, but still let’s be honest and believe what the club have announced, that this is not a cashflow issue.

On the 3rd of December there were positive news published regarding King Power and their ongoing contract negotiations to restructure and build a new and better foundation for their business going forward. This is based on a strong relationship with AOT.

The recent news about this payment issue, looks to be a one time happening and a single error, hopefully not happening again. This is not affecting all staff at the club, but just certain parties.

Not good to see negative headlines, but we still believe the club is under good guidence and that this will be sorted out in the best way possible.
