Marti Cifuentes Confirms Doubts Earlier Expressed About This Certain Player

Things are moving in the correct direction for Leicester at the moment. The team are now on a path towards a momentum, with certain experiments put on ice.

The addition of Julian Carranza has now been confirmed by Marti Cifuentes to be something of a joke. You cannot add a player to the squad on a reason of being nice, good looking or adding positive wibes.

We described the addition of Julian Carranza with major doubt. He had not managed to get himself into the starting frame at Feyenoord. Only 9 starts, before his move to Leicester. He had a good reputation from MLS, but that is a league far below The Championship in standard.

Leicester had Jeremy Monga to call on. A young Jake Evans is also one of course to use if injuries to Patson Daka or Jordan Ayew. This is a move done that must be described as a failure.

Last season the same happened with Odsonne Edouard. Leicester made a signing to just have another body to call on. That is a major problem, when a club decides to use such a policy and overlook youth players.

Several players are returning from injuries. Marti Cifuentes could be tempted to start a roulette again. So far, most of his decisions have been based on random selections without momentum.

The results so far are far from acceptable. Hopefully, Cifuentes can surprise us. However, discovering that the addition of Julian Carranza is so far from expectations makes it difficult to judge the long-term vision of this current Leicester manager.
