Leicester looks to have made their first outfield player signing this summer. So far no news about Patson Daka leaving so a bit surprised to see the addition of Julian Carranza. So far none of the more reliable sources on transfers have confirmed anything.
Carranza (25) has not been a regular league starter for Feyenoord since arrival. He has just made 9 starts, scored 4 goals. His past at Philadelphia Union and Inter Miami are more promising reading, but the quality of MLS is questionable.
This is risky business. It looks like a move for a player with potential. It is not one that will push either Patson Daka or Jordan Ayew down the pecking order at Leicester. We just have to hope that Patson Daka is on the move. This will create a potential option for the Argentinian to play.
There are interest from Saudi Arabia for Daka. His contract is out in the summer. We believe things can happen. Then Carranza could be a back up for Jordan Ayew.

When things are really looking good, both Patson Daka and Jordan Ayew are contributing well. It’s a bit sad to see this happening again. The club are adding a player that is far from a certain starter. His quality is also to question. The move is said to be a loan with an option to buy.
Nathan Opoku is a player with a huge potential. The Leicester U21 is sadly not a priority for Marti Cifuentes, eager to bring in new and fresh faces. Opoku (24) played 27 league games for OH Leuven, scoring 5 goals in the Belgian top flight two seasons ago. The level of Opoku and Carranza is almost level. Opoku has already scored 2 goals in his two starts so far in Premier League 2.
